Drexel Cabernet French Provincial Nightstands — A Pair

Bring warmth, timeless detail, and practical storage to your home with this matching pair of vintage nightstands from Drexel’s Cabernet collection, dating to circa the 1970s. Both retain their Cabernet by Drexel back stamps, and a Drexel maker’s mark is visible inside a drawer.

A rich brown wood finish showcases expressive grain, complemented by shaped top edges, framed drawer fronts, carved floral-and-scroll aprons, and gracefully curved legs. Decorative metal pulls complete their inviting French Provincial character.

Each nightstand features two generously proportioned drawers with dovetail joinery. Together, the pair provides four drawers of enclosed storage for bedside essentials or living room accessories.

Refreshed by Old Dogs, New Tricks Restorations, each nightstand has received two fresh topcoats to renew the finish and add protection while preserving the beauty of the visible wood grain.

The broad tops offer room for lamps, books, and decorative accents. Their 21½-inch height makes them especially well suited to lower beds, and they also work beautifully as substantial end tables beside a sofa or lounge chairs.

Condition details

These vintage Drexel Cabernet nightstands are in very good condition with a refreshed finish. Each has received two fresh protective topcoats, enhancing the wood grain and warm brown tone. Both feature dovetail drawer joinery and retain their decorative hardware and carved details. Minor age-related surface marks and variations in tone remain, consistent with vintage furniture.
