Henredon Serpentine Chest
Rich wood tones, graceful curves, and intricate details give this vintage Henredon chest an elegant presence. Its serpentine front is complemented by carved corner fretwork, decorative escutcheons, and shaped bracket feet. A contrasting wood border follows the curved outline of the beautifully grained top.
A particularly charming detail is the ornate brass-tone hardware, featuring stylized pineapple motifs framed by graceful scrollwork. Long associated with welcome and hospitality, the pineapple adds a thoughtful decorative touch for an entryway, guest bedroom, or living room.
Five drawers—two smaller upper drawers above three full-width drawers—provide generous storage, with interior dividers in select drawers for organizing everyday essentials. At 44 inches wide, it works beautifully beneath a mirror, beside favorite artwork, or as sophisticated bedroom storage.
